This Privacy Policy explains what information the Champaran Mart app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. It applies to the Champaran Mart customer, admin and delivery apps and this website. By creating an account and using the app you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Champaran Mart is run by Nitesh Kumar (owner), Vill. Motichhapar, Ward No. 03, Panchayat – Lohiyariya, P.O. Chaubeytola, P.S. Kumarbagh, Block – Chanpatiya, District – West Champaran, Bihar – 845449, India.

Information we collect

Account details — your name, mobile number (used to log you in with a one-time password) and your village, given when you create an account. Delivery staff and admins log in with an email address and password.
Delivery addresses — addresses you save (labelled Home, Work, Hotel or Other), including the area, city, pincode and, when provided, a receiver's name and phone number for deliveries to someone else.
Location data — with your permission, your device's GPS location, read when you ask for it, to suggest a delivery address; and the map position you choose. The app does not track you in the background. Location search and address lookup are powered by Mappls (MapmyIndia). While a delivery staff member is delivering your order, their phone shares its location so you can follow the delivery; this stops when the order is finished.
Order information — items, quantities, prices, delivery option, payment method and status, and the time of each step.
Profile photo — only if you choose to add one.
Notification token and preferences — a code that identifies your phone so we can send order updates and, if you have them switched on, offers; and your choice about offers.
Payments — online (UPI) payments are handled by Razorpay. You enter your payment details with Razorpay, not with us; we only learn whether the payment succeeded. We never receive or store your UPI PIN, card or bank details.
Usage data — basic technical information needed to keep the service running reliably. The app has no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs.

We do not collect your contacts, messages, call history or camera pictures.

How we use this information

To create and manage your account and process, pack and deliver your orders.
To determine delivery addresses and estimate delivery times.
To call or message you about your order and to provide customer support.
To send order updates and, only if you have them switched on, offers and festival deals.
To keep the shop's accounts, keep the app secure, and prevent misuse and fraud.

How we store and share information

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, database, storage, Cloud Functions and notifications). Firebase may use Google reCAPTCHA / Play Integrity to check that a login request comes from a real app. Information travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and database access rules let customers read only their own data. We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:

with the Champaran Mart team and our delivery staff, who see your name, phone number and address for the orders they handle;
with our service providers, strictly to run the app — Google Firebase, Razorpay (payments) and Mappls (maps and address search);
where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. Order records are kept for as long as the shop needs them for its accounts and for legal reasons. When you delete your account, your personal details are removed and the old orders are kept only without your name, phone number, address and location.

Your choices and rights

Delete your account and data — in the app go to Profile → Account privacy, or follow the steps on our Delete account page. You can also write to us and we will delete it within 7 days.
See or correct your information — change your name, photo and saved addresses in the app, or ask us.
Stop offers — switch off Offer notifications in Profile, or stop notifications in your phone's settings.
Location — location access can be turned off from your device settings; the app will still work, but you will need to search for your address manually.

Children's privacy

Champaran Mart is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
